This transitioned into total care after grandma had a stroke; I was 9 years old at the time. While she made sure that everything was okay even as she simultaneously took care of her own family, mom also suffered from caregiver fatigue for taking on too much. She was afraid of letting her own mother go to a large assisted living facility and felt guilty for even entertaining the thought.
